Memories of a special friend!

Shashi Shekhar Roy, future Marine Engineer, SSR for Pramod Sir, and Bhalu for friends...

One of my best friend who is smart by looks, helpful by nature, highly matured, courageous, though he is an ultimate bore when he starts explaining something.

Some of his great achievements-

-Writes an apology letter to principal- "I am writing this letter under the pressure of your authority…"

-Puts the iron plug in the UPS socket of his PC to iron the clothes which results in the system crash and hard-disk data loss.

-Throws naan at the waiter in 'Sukh Sagar'(restaurant) because the size of the naan was too short. And then asks the waiter to get a larger replacement for the same!

-Pays a guy(the Munna Bhai kind) to break Archana ma'am car's window to take revenge against the complaints she made against him to his mom.

-He once lost his mobile. To avoid scolding at home, he showed fake receipt of mobile repairing center and later bought a same model second hand set from "CHOR BAZAAR" and showed it to everyone. He also issued a duplicate sim with the same number. Later he was caught because his mobile was not lost. His mother hid it to see to what extent her son can lie!

-Took the 3 months fees for Prerna Classes from home and bunked the whole 3 months.

-Once argued with Papiya Thakur(chemistry lecturer) and threatened her that he would complain the director Mr. Pramod Dubey, if she keeps him standing as punishment for no good reason(though she had one).

What has changed in him over the years-

This animal who never saw sunrise during his school days, now can daily offer prayers (Gayatri Mantra) to the Sun Lord at sunrise!

The guy who was never present at the school assembly because of late arrival(sometime as much as a period), now has to run 2 kms as punishment even if he is a minutes late. Once he and Vibhore were not allowed to enter the school for coming late so they went to Ranchi (140 kms) on bike to pass time(that's how he motivates others to be late).

Use to have long hairs down to his shoulder but now his hair length never exceeds one inch!(now this is irony)

His weird dressing sense is now replaced by a sophisticated one. He has to put on his shoes even if he goes out of the campus and uniform is compulsory while having dinner in the mess.

Was a lazy Bhalu, yet was the Yellow House captain. Not to his credits, but the same year Yellow House emerged as winners on the Annual Sports Day.

And now, he is still lazy!!

All hail to Mr. Shashi(Bhalu)!

Definition of "Manipal"

A small town in Karnataka, India. Has a university where rich parents send their spoilt kids to, so that they can booze, smoke weed, and maybe get a degree in the process. A bloody hot place to be in, especially from March to August.

Manipal is the easiest place to get a professional degree from, in India.

Don't trust your eyes!
